How Much Does it Cost to Join Bluetooth SIG?
When a company's application for membership is approved, it joins the Bluetooth SIG as an Adopter level member with no annual membership fee. Companies interested in membership should review and understand the obligations of the Bluetooth SIG Membership Agreements.
To complete the Bluetooth Qualification Process, your company will be required to pay a Product Qualification Fee.
Adopter members have the option to upgrade their membership to the Associate membership level. Associate members pay an annual membership fee based on their company's yearly revenue and receive several valuable benefits, such as discounts on Product Qualification Fees, early access to Bluetooth specifications, and the ability to join working groups and influence the direction of Bluetooth technology.

If I join the Bluetooth SIG, can I immediately start using the Bluetooth Trademark on my Products?
Membership with the Bluetooth SIG is only the first step; to market a product that implements Bluetooth technology and/or uses any of the Bluetooth trademarks (including the word “Bluetooth”), you need to:
- Become a member of the Bluetooth SIG.
- Complete the Bluetooth Qualification Process using our qualification tool, Qualification Workspace.
Qualification Workspace is the tool developed by the Bluetooth SIG to support members in completing the Bluetooth Qualification Process and listing their Qualified Products, taking the complexity out of compliance. Since not every Bluetooth product needs to be tested, Qualification Workspace helps you choose the right workflow to meet your needs. You can learn more about the Qualification Process here.
I am a New Member of the Bluetooth SIG. What are the Top Things I Need to Know or Do?
If you have a question, problem, or need to report an issue, submit a support request, and we will respond as soon as possible.

You can learn more about it at www.bluetooth.com by clicking on Develop with Bluetooth. To see specific information on whether you need to complete all the steps, visit here.
Every company selling, branding, manufacturing, or representing a product as its own must pay a Product Qualification Fee to complete their product qualification. You can learn more by visiting Qualify Your Product.
If you want to influence the direction of Bluetooth wireless technology, you can look at joining our Working Groups. Members of our working groups manage all the specifications, profiles, characteristics, services, and other aspects of Bluetooth technology. As an Adopter member, you can participate in select groups, like our study or expert groups. You must become an Associate member to take full advantage of all the working groups and policy committees. You can upgrade your membership at any time. Learn more on our Groups and Committees page.

How do I Formally Object if I Observe Meeting Topics that are not Compliant with Applicable Laws and Bluetooth SIG Policies?
If you participate in any meeting of Bluetooth SIG members where inappropriate topics are discussed, you must formally object. This includes any conversations that appear to be out of compliance with all applicable laws and Bluetooth SIG policies, including the General Rules Regarding Antitrust Compliance, Confidentiality Policy, and Code of Conduct.
To Formally Object:
- During the meeting, share your concern that the discussion may be a violation of Bluetooth SIG policies with all in attendance and request that further discussion of the matter should stop pending guidance from the Bluetooth SIG’s legal counsel.
- After the meeting, submit a support request to the Bluetooth SIG and describe the incident (date, Working Group or Committee, attendees, and policy violation) so that any necessary follow-up can be taken by the Bluetooth SIG leadership.
This KBA is intended to provide Bluetooth SIG members with helpful information and address frequently asked questions. Governing documents, membership agreements, policies, and other Bluetooth SIG rules and guidelines can be found here.
