A Working Group (WG) Chair / Vice-Chair may use this checklist to prepare for BoD approval of an 0.9 or CR specification. This guide is designed to help WG members understand the 0.9/CR stage exit requirements.
This does not need to be filled out and returned to Bluetooth SIG Technical Staff (BSTS).
1 Timing of BARB/BTI votes for BoD approval
BARB and BTI votes should pass by the doc freeze date (13 days before the BoD meeting).
If the BARB and BTI votes have started but have not yet passed by the doc freeze date, then BoD approval of the specification should be rescheduled for the next available BoD meeting.
Pending votes after the BoD meeting ("conditional approval") are not encouraged. If a conditional approval is requested and SIG Staff and the WG Chair agree that it is necessary, then the specification will proceed to BoD voting, but it will be rescheduled for the next available BoD meeting.
2 Checklist for BoD approval
The questions in the following table are requirements for BoD approval of an 0.9/CR specification. Below each question is an excerpt of the process requirement defined in the Specification Management Process Document (SMPD).
