Filling out Application - Company Info
Provide Your Company’s Legal Name
Enter your company’s legal name exactly as it appears on your formation document. Include all punctuation, capitalization, spacing, and use the original language (do not translate). A mismatch may delay membership approval.
Provide a Certified Copy of Your Company’s Business Formation Documents
Your company’s business formation documents help the Bluetooth SIG verify the legal information provided in this application.
Your company formation documents will typically be issued by your state, provincial, or national government.
Enter Your Company’s National Jurisdiction of Formation
This is the country where your company's forming documents were issued. Take a look at your company's formation documents to find the issuing country.
Enter Your Company’s Local Jurisdiction of Formation
Local jurisdiction of formation will be specified on your formation document. If your formation document was issued in China, you can just write China.
Indicate Your Company’s Legal Business/Entity Type
Your company’s entity type will need to match your business formation documents.
At this time, we do not allow government agencies, universities, or sole proprietors to become members.
Enter Your Company’s Website URL
You have the option to enter your company’s website; you are not required to provide a website, but it can be helpful to keep your company’s membership account up to date.
Enter Your Company’s DBA
You can provide your company’s trade name/DBA; you are not required to provide this name, but it can help prevent customs issues or other confusion when completing the Bluetooth Qualification Process.
Enter Your Company’s Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) number
You can enter your company’s D&B number; this is recommended for data accuracy.
Enter Your Company’s Mailing Address and Phone Number
Please provide your company’s headquarters/central office address and best contact phone number.
Filling out Application - Contact Info
Provide your contact information as the applicant: name, job title, preferred language, reason for joining, and address.
Confirm Who Will Be Signing the Bluetooth SIG Membership Agreements
The employee signing the Bluetooth SIG Membership Agreements should be a duly authorized signer for your company; this would typically be a chief executive or other explicitly authorized employee.
If you, as the applicant, are not authorized to sign the Bluetooth SIG Membership Agreements, you can add an authorized signer to the membership application; this authorized signer will be notified that they have been added and prompted to sign the membership agreements.
Filling out Application - Membership Class
A full benefits breakdown between our Adopter and Associate classes can be reviewed at Benefits Comparison | Bluetooth® Technology Website. If you select to learn about the Associate membership class, one of our Membership Specialists will contact you shortly after your application is complete with instructions on how to upgrade your account.
Filling out Application - Review
On the final page, please review all the information you provided in the application for any possible mistakes.
Please carefully read the representations and warranties before checking the boxes. Once checked, you will be able to formally submit your application.
If there are any errors/mistakes on your application that need to be corrected, you will be prompted by one of our Membership Specialists to return to your application and correct them.
Signing Documents - DocuSign
The Bluetooth SIG uses DocuSign to complete the electronic signature of the Bluetooth SIG Membership Agreements.
You or your authorized signer will receive a notification email from DocuSign with the link to complete the electronic signature process, which includes signing the Bluetooth SIG Membership Agreements and the membership application Terms of Agreement.
Once you or your authorized signer has completed the DocuSign signature process, your agreements will be sent to the Bluetooth SIG CEO for countersignature.
Once the Bluetooth SIG has countersigned your agreements, your signer will receive an email from DocuSign notifying them that the signature process has been completed and the signed agreements can be downloaded.
If you completed DocuSign, move on to Countersignature
Signing Documents - Physical Signature
If your application is required to go through the Physical Sign process, you will receive a notification email prompting you to log back into your application.
Once logged back in, you will be prompted to complete the following:
Download a copy of the Membership Agreements and print them out
-
Upload a signed copy of each Membership Agreement
The agreements should be signed by you or the authorized signer
The agreements will need to be signed with a wet signature
All fields of the signature block will need to be completed. Companies from China will need to include their company chop/stamp
Please carefully read the representations and warranties before checking the boxes. Once checked, you will be able to formally submit the signed agreements.
Counter signature
Once you have completed the Physical signature process, your agreements will be sent to the Bluetooth SIG CEO for countersignature.
Once the Bluetooth SIG has countersigned your agreements, you will receive an email notifying you that the signature process has been completed and that your company has officially joined the Bluetooth SIG.
