When qualifying a Bluetooth® design that other members will use in their products, the product type you select for your design can significantly impact your customers' ability to qualify. If your design is not intended for your customers to make changes to the design's core functionality, we recommend you qualify your design as an End Product or Subsystem product type.
Designs that allow for changes to core functionality should be qualified as a Component (Tested) product type. The table below outlines some of the advantages and disadvantages of the different product types and may help you determine the best choice to benefit your customers.
