Accessing Specification Documents After SWS Retirement
Effective Date: June 18, 2026
1. Purpose
This KB article defines the process for accessing specification documents following the retirement of the Specification Workspace (SWS).
2. Background
The Specification Workspace (SWS) will be permanently decommissioned effective June 18, 2026. All existing SWS links and bookmarks will no longer be functional after this date.
Specification documents have been transitioned as follows:
Active content has been migrated to Working Group SharePoint sites
Non-active and historical content has been archived and is available upon request
3. Process Overview
After SWS retirement, documents are accessed through one of the following methods based on document status:

4. Procedure
4.1 Accessing Active Project Documents
Navigate to the relevant Working Group SharePoint site
Locate the applicable project folder

Look for an “SWS Archive” folder or similarly labeled location containing migrated content
Note: Folder structure and naming conventions for those documents may vary by Working Group based on how team organized their content.
4.2 Accessing Non-Active or Historical Documents
Step 1 – Submit Request
Submit a support ticket via Zendesk: Bluetooth SIG Support- > Form: SWS Archived Document(s) Request
Step 2 – Include the following details in the request:
File Name / Document Title (if known)
Project Name /Working Group (if known)
Phase the document was in (if known)
Document Retrieval
The SIG team will locate the requested document within the archive
The document will be provided directly through the support ticket
5.Important Notes
All SWS links and bookmarks will be inactive after June 18, 2026

No documents have been deleted — all content is either:
Available in SharePoint (active), or
Retained in the archive (historical)
Archived documents are not directly browsable and require a formal request
