We understand that this time of global uncertainty and change comes with its own unique challenges. Despite these hurdles, Bluetooth SIG staff is committed to fully supporting our member community during this difficult time.
We have heard from members that, due to COVID-19, they are concerned about being able to test and qualify with TCRL 2019-1 before the 15 April 2020 deadline. As such, we have extended the TCRL 2019-1 deadline to 15 October 2020 (postponing the TCRL 2019-2 active date to 15 October 2020).
You can now submit your qualification using TCRL 2019-1 until 15 October 2020.
Qualifications integrating a Component with a Qualification Assessment Date of 1 April – 15 October 2017, may continue to inherit test evidence beyond the usual three-year test inheritance policy until 15 October 2020.
The SIG has made adjustments to some test case requirements:
Category A test cases for HCI layer and below that require BQTF/BRTF
For any Category A test cases for the HCI layer and below where the member cannot access a BQTF (Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility) but have access to the validated test equipment for the test cases, they may conduct the tests in their own facility but must commission a remote audit of methods and results by a BQTF with the authorized scope. This audit must occur before the qualification and test results are submitted to the SIG.
TCRL 2019-2 AoA/AoD RF-PHY Test Cases
For AoA/AoD RF-PHY test cases which will require validated test equipment to perform testing after July 15, 2020, if members cannot access a BQTF with the validated test platform, but have created their own test setup for the test cases, the member may submit the test evidence to the SIG for BTI review prior submitting their qualification.
Test Cases affected:

RF-PHY/TRM/BV-16-C
RF-PHY/TRM/BV-17-C
